What is the difference between a cl c and a cl a felony and what are the restrictions given to those?

that recive them< I was under the impression that once you had a felony no matter what cl it was you could not vote oe have fire arms. Are there exceptons to this. I am asking because I know just got a felony conviction and somebody she knows has had one for awhile and still has his gun and still goes coon hunting with it.
